Congratulations to the Music Teachers Association Suburban Northwest, Local Association of the Year! This Local Association was chosen for their numerous programs, community outreach, and great leadership. The highlights of this excellent Local Association were their educational monthly meetings and extensive community outreach programs. Thank you, MTASN, for your dedication, contributions and accomplishments!

The selection committee’s choice for the local association of the year, South Suburban Music Teachers, illustrates a group of individuals who work together to benefit not only their students, but also the community at large. This group has a core of three major events every year. Their Achievement Day has ranked as one of the top two CSMTA Local Association events in both numbers of students and participating teachers for many years. In addition to their three main events, there is a series of four student recitals.
