Chopin Prize Won by Colorado Pianist at National MTNA Competition

Congratulations to Colorado piano student Seohee Kayla Yang and her teachers Dr. Zahari Metchkov and Mary Beth Shaffer, NCTM on her recent accomplishments at the MTNA National Competition – Senior Piano Performance Division. Ms. Yang was awarded the distinguished Chopin Prize for her performance of Chopin’s G minor Ballade, Op. 23. Her performance was played in the MTNA Senior National Competition Recital on Monday March 15th, at 1:30pm MT. Ms. Yang currently attends Cheyenne Mountain High School and has studied the piano for 9 years. Congratulations!
